Ryan Hanigan brings over a decade of Major League catching experience to our staff, serving as our Director of Catching. A reliable backstop known for his defensive skills, game-calling, and leadership behind the plate, Hanigan spent 11 seasons in the big leagues with the Cincinnati Reds, Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, and Colorado Rockies. Across 680 career games, he collected nearly 500 hits and posted a strong .344 career on-base percentage, while earning a reputation as one of the game’s most trusted catchers. His veteran presence and deep understanding of pitching staffs made him a valued teammate on every roster he joined. Hanigan now brings that same knowledge, professionalism, and passion for development to help guide the next generation of players.
